After a 2 week break or so, I’m back to making art. I’ve been sidetracked by a mysterious inner ear / vertigo problem that’s starting to clear up, the death of our family dog Desi, and a trip to Florida to see my ailing grandmother June Hill, who suffered a stroke a couple of weeks ago, and is now in hospice care and ready to leave us peacefully soon.
Within a week, I’ll be posting a new mixed-media “inner surfer art” piece, then will be starting on a large oil canvas painting of my client’s interpretation of a scene in the book The Catcher in the Rye. I’m really looking forward to doing this painting, as the book, and this specific scene, has a very deep meaning to him in regards to his relationship with his father. Probably won’t finish it for another month or so at least, but may have some other posts in the meantime!
