A couple years ago I did some custom artwork for my friend Travis down in Costa Rica, who was also a Peace Corps Volunteer there and now offers Yoga and Surf vacations through his business Bodhi Surf in Uvita, Costa Rica.

Here’s an oil painting of him doing his thing:
A mixed media drawing of his sister, also a surfer:

An oil painting of the natural “whale’s tale” formation in Uvita. The area is known as “Bahia Ballena”, which means “Whale Bay.”

Lastly, here is a photo I took while my Peace Corps training group visited there. This photo was taken while standing out near the end of the whale tale formation and looking back at the land. Not many places you can lay on the beach and have water on both sides of you like that!

Thanks!
Great photos! I wish I would’ve seen this post before I booked a different surf trip, but now that I know about it maybe I’ll have to check it out in the future. Thanks for sharing 🙂
You’re welcome! Yes, if you ever go surfing in Costa Rica, check out Bodhi Surf! Hope you have a good time on the trip you booked.
Yeah! I love it! Tiki art has made a comeback, too.
