Here in Northern Virginia, the sun is shining bright this morning…but it’s cold! So I’ve been going through photos of warmer places, and came across one from our trip to Sevilla earlier this year.
Ahhhh, the fresh smell of oranges in the air. There’s nothing like waking up chipper, taking a step outside into the streets (dressed to the nigh, of course), and smelling the roses…I mean…oranges. Really, it’s just as good as “waking up and smelling the roses” anyways. Perhaps better!
These things fall all over the place in Sevilla, at least in February when we were there last.
We even saw this guy kicking them to and fro (I think he was tired of walking on oranges all the time):
All of the oranges got me to thinking…
I’ve never seen any town or city like this in Florida (known for oranges). Would it even be legal in the U.S. to have orange trees planted all over a city? I mean, we live in a litigious society, so what if an orange fell on someone’s head and hurt them? Would they sue the city?
Anyways, all the more reason to appreciate the oranges on the streets in Spain!
