This past weekend my wife and I took in an awesome movie – Woman in Gold. If you like history, art, and justice, you’ll probably love this movie!
A true story, the movie centers around the legal fight of an Austrian Jewish refugee, who together with an out-of-luck lawyer, sues the Austrian government to rightfully claim back the famous Gustav Kilmt painting “Woman in Gold”, a portrait of the protagonist’s wife, which was stolen from her family by the Nazi’s during World War II.
The acting in this movie is phenomenal, and the story is woven together in a way that will keep you on your toes the whole time. Moreover, it’s even a tear-jerker at the end!
You can see the original painting at the Neue Galerie in New York City, which my wife and I plan to do this year!
