As I was working on a painting this weekend, I noticed the variety of colors on my palette and it occurred to me that the palette itself could be an abstract painting itself!
Each palette used in every painting looks different…different colors, different swirls and strokes of the brush applied when mixing the colors… And of course, each color and combination thereof can provoke different moods and feelings.
The painting I’m working on is of a boat anchored at a dock in a small Mediterranean village. The concept behind this painting is having the safe feeling of being “anchored” to something that is secure.
