In my blog post yesterday, I spoke a bit about being a perfectionist. While those tendencies can be honed into something useful and healthy, they can also be a source of never-ending frustration and even a cause of poor health. Really, being a perfectionist is not a good recipe for health and happiness.
While reading yesterday, I came across a quote from Leonardo Da Vinci, a genius Painter, Sculptor, Architect, Scientist, Mathematician, Engineer, Inventor, etc., etc. His quote was something along the lines of:
“I have offended God and mankind because my work didn’t reach the quality it should have.”
Whoa! A genius, who accomplished so much, said this! Oh boy. I think he was being too hard on himself. I know what that’s like. I hope he at least was able to bask in some of his accomplishments!
