This 16″ x 20″ acrylic painting is the first I’ve completed in an art series called “Mindfulness.” From a Google search, here is a definition of mindfulness:
1.the quality or state of being conscious or aware of something.
2.a mental state achieved by focusing one’s awareness on the present moment, while calmly acknowledging and accepting one’s feelings, thoughts, and bodily sensations, used as a therapeutic technique.
How do you practice mindfulness in your life? I’ve begun to focus on my breathing when I feel tension…breathing in deeply through my nose, and breathing out all of the air through my mouth.
