When on vacation, I like to explore. Others like to sit and lounge. I can do both, but I prefer to explore. My wife, on the other hand, likes to lounge (especially on the beach). If it’s a hot day and I sit on the beach for too long, though, I become miserably hot and drowsy. So, this always makes for a balance to be struck between us! Where is a good place to strike such a balance? The Spanish island of Ibiza.
Probably just about any island would fit the bill for relaxing and exploring, but Mediterranean islands, in particular, have amazing turquoise water beaches, olive groves, orange groves, pretty architecture, and great food! This oil painting is based off of a photo I took while exploring Dalt Vila, the historic Old Town part of Ibiza, an UNESCO World Heritage Site!
