This small-size rose painting is on archival watercolor paper and is available in a variety of wood and aluminum metal frame options! It comes with a triple white mat that is also archival and acid-free, along with anti-reflective glass for the frame. You can see photos of all of the options here:
Yesterday I completed this new oil painting of a bouquet of white flowers in an elegant copper planter, on top of a soft gray cloth.
Inspiration from Spanish TV Series El Tiempo Entre Costuras
The inspiration for this painting, and another flower painting that I’ll be posting soon, came from a 2013 Spanish TV series called “El Tiempo Entre Costuras”, which is about a Spanish seamstress who becomes a spy for the British during the times of the Spanish civil war and World War II. It’s one of my favorite TV series I’ve ever watched, not only for the compelling story, but for the artistic videography! Numerous scenes throughout the series showcase elegant architecture, furniture and, similar to this flower painting, beautiful floral arrangements.
With the spring season in full force, I’ve been enjoying making new paintings of flowers lately. So when my wife asked me to paint something to be raffled for an event with members of the local American Dance Therapy Association chapter, I thought I’d paint a flower that is dancing.
The last of the cherry blossoms are hanging around before turning into spring leaves! One of the joys of living in the Washington DC region is seeing this short burst of pink, rose and white colors every year.
While I painted this one a year ago, this artwork is now available as a fine art print in sizes 8×10, 12×16, 16×20, 18×24 and 24×36. It features three cherry blossoms in peak bloom, with hues of pink, rose, purple and white.
This original cherry blossoms watercolor painting shows three blooming cherry blossom flowers on a tree branch, with hues of rose and pink on the white petals, and a subtle hint of green leaves. It measures 9″ x 12″ and is painted on archival and acid-free watercolor paper.
A few months ago, I did some watercolor floral paintings on 18″ x 24″ watercolor paper for a neighbor of mine. These will be nice for them to look at as we get into the colder seasons and the flowers go away until next spring!

My two boys and I discovered these flowers on a walk in our neighborhood the other day. My sweet toddler immediately thought to pick one “for mama”. Mama was very happy with her flower! I also took a photo of them and painted them on canvas.
