With the spring season in full force, I’ve been enjoying making new paintings of flowers lately. So when my wife asked me to paint something to be raffled for an event with members of the local American Dance Therapy Association chapter, I thought I’d paint a flower that is dancing.
It seems that most dance paintings I find are of women, or a woman dancing with a man. Why not just men dancing? I think that in white American culture, it can be stereotyped as, well, you know. But in many cultures around the world, men dancing is just as common as women dancing. I think that’s how it should be.
This acrylic painting is on 11″ x 14″ heavy-weight, acid-free paper.
