The inspiration for this seascape painting came from a beach on the Spanish island of Formentera, and the beautiful blue hues of the Mediterranean Sea!
The canvas is made of Texas-grown organic cotton and is hand-stretched and hand-primed. The wood stretcher bars are FSC-certified and the all-natural gesso primer is made of limestone power, French marble dust, water and a touch of honey.
The canvas measures 8″ in height and 20″ in length.
Enjoy this original seascape watercolor painting for your ocean decor! It combines different hues of blue with a warm orange glow on the horizon. There is a dock that juts out into the water from a sliver of green land on the right-hand side, next to a few palm trees.
Painted on archival and acid-free watercolor paper that measures 9″ in height by 12″ in length. Add an optional wood frame made of natural and unstained U.S. poplar wood with a glass panel for protection.
I’ve been going through some of my older paintings lately, and found this one. I painted it six years ago, from a photo that I took on a beach in Costa Rica more than eight years ago! I call it “The Simplicity of it All“.
This oil painting is of the Caribbean side of Costa Rica in Cahuita National Park.
The coastline of Cahuita National Park only has a small sliver of sand along the water, as the palm trees hang lazily overhead. While not as easy as it looks, you can climb the palm trees and lay on top while catching some nice sun and getting a great view of the water!
This painting measures 10″ in width and 8″ in height, and is painted on gallery-wrapped canvas (no frame necessary!).
Nerja is located on Spain’s southern coast in the province of Andalucía, where you’ll find beautiful architecture, lots of sun, and the blue Mediterranean sea! The stairs in this painting descend down to the beach in Nerja!
