Lately, my art studio has been used as an organization room, while I’ve been creating art in other rooms, such as the kitchen. However, the studio room that is supposed to have all of my art organized has been a tad messy. So, I’ve embarked upon an art studio cleanup this week, and have pulled out a few paintings from the past year to touch up! Not that they needed it, but I just wanted an excuse to paint for a few minutes without getting into a whole new piece!
Here is one of them – a beach sunset. Just imagine the waves lapping up to your feet and slowly watching the setting sun move along its eternal cycle, while feeling the warm glow of its rays upon the calm waves!
When flying from Costa Rica into Houston, Texas for a layover on my way to Indiana, I saw this beautiful sunset over the Gulf of Mexico upon descending into Houston. This is the first layer of the oil painting.
